Hi, I’m [Your Name] — mom, adventure-seeker, and passionate advocate for stronger family connections.
I’ve always loved to travel. Over the years, my family and I have road-tripped across states, set sail on ocean cruises, and made spontaneous detours that turned into unforgettable memories. We recently took a leap and bought a travel trailer, and now we’re hitting the road with even more freedom and fun — just me and my 13-year-old son, wrapped up in our next adventure.
As a mom navigating the teen years, I know how fast time flies. The window to connect deeply with our kids and partners is short — and precious. That’s why I created Wrapped Up in Adventure: a place to share real stories from the road, practical parenting tips, and relationship insights that help families grow stronger together.
I also bring a professional lens to everything I share. With a Master’s degree in Family Therapy, I’ve spent years helping families improve communication, rebuild trust, and rediscover joy in each other. Now, I’m combining that knowledge with my love of travel to help families like yours reconnect through adventure.
Whether you’re planning your own RV trip, struggling to connect with your teen, or craving more intimacy in your relationship — you’re in the right place. I’m here to guide, encourage, and walk beside you.
❤️ Why I Do This
Because life is too short not to get wrapped up in adventure.
Less than a year ago, my life changed forever. I lost my husband — my partner, my travel buddy, my safe place. There are no words that fully explain the ache of losing someone you thought you’d grow old with. And what hit me the hardest in the months that followed wasn’t just the grief — it was the regret.
I had spent so much time working, hustling, trying to provide, trying to do “the right thing” — that I missed too many ordinary, beautiful, fleeting moments with the two people who mattered most: my husband and my son.
We always think there will be more time. More vacations. More weekends. More hugs. But sometimes… there isn’t.
That realization was a turning point. And it broke something open in me.
✨ From Survival to Purpose
I couldn’t change the past — but I could change the future. I made a quiet but powerful promise to myself and my son: We’re going to live. Really live.
No more waiting for the “right time” to travel.
No more pushing adventures to the bottom of the to-do list.
No more missing out on what matters.
We bought a travel trailer. We hit the road. Just the two of us — mother and son — learning how to laugh again, how to heal, and how to make new memories together.
And along the way, I realized something else: I want to help other families do the same.
🌍 Connection is the Real Destination
This site, Wrapped Up in Adventure, was born from grief — but it’s built on growth, joy, and intentional living.
It’s not just about travel tips or where to park your RV.
It’s about reconnecting with your kids before they’re grown.
It’s about keeping love alive in your marriage before it fades.
It’s about remembering who you are and what you want your life to feel like.
As a mom, a widow, a family therapist, and a woman rediscovering her own strength, I’ve learned that adventure is not just about where you go — it’s about who you become along the way.
💡 Turning Red Lights into Green Lights
I think about something Matthew McConaughey said — about life’s red lights turning into green ones if we let them. Loss was a red light I didn’t ask for. But now, I see it as an invitation. A signal to slow down, wake up, and choose a different road.
This is me choosing that road.
And I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you choose yours.
If you’re ready to create more meaning, more connection, and more memories with the people you love — you’re in the right place.
Let’s get wrapped up in adventure together.
